Information Systems Intern
The Information Systems Intern will gain hands-on experience in an experienced IT environment supporting District Attorneys throughout the state. This internship offers an opportunity to develop both technical and professional skills while contributing to a team supporting roughly 900 end users across Tennessee. Interns will be mentored by experienced IT professionals and participate in real-world IT operations, support, and project work.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in imaging systems using standardized tools and processes for new deployments and hardware replacements.
- Support System sanitization process for decommissioned or surplus equipment, ensuring compliance with data security policies.
- Provide tiered support, low to high-level, to end users for hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
- Provide ticket resolutions, documentation, and escalation processes within the Helpdesk.
- Shadow and support infrastructure staff with basic tasks related to networking, backups, and system monitoring.
- Participate in infrastructure and IS team meetings, contributing ideas and understanding project workflows and priorities.
- Collaborate with IS staff on cross functional initiatives, including training, documentation creation, and user education.
- Assist with inventory tracking, asset tagging, and system audits.
- Learn and uphold cybersecurity best practices with a government IT environment.
- Explore tools such as Office 365, AWS services, VoIP systems, case management platforms, digital evidence systems and video/audio editing/redaction.

Expectations:
- Interns may be expected to lift and move hardware, up to 25 lbs, and perform tasks at various locations across the state.
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
This position will pay $15-$18 per hour with an expected start date of January 2026.
