Sumner County native Guy Jones was sworn in as the new executive director of the Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference last week.
The ceremony was held Aug. 3 in Sumner County Criminal Court Judge Dee David Gay’s courtroom in Gallatin.
Prior to becoming executive director, Jones had served as deputy director of the conference since 1997. He succeeds Jerry Estes, who recently retired.
“It’s very humbling that the district attorneys whom I have the utmost respect for would elect me,” Jones said following the ceremony. “The greatest work that I’ve been able to be involved in is supporting (them) as they seek justice and try to bring healing to victims.”
