With forty years of state service, Laurie Steen brings extensive experience to her role as HR director. She is responsible for managing employee relations and ensuring the consistent application of HR policies across the department. Laurie began her career in state service with the Department of Safety in 1984, where she worked for 13 years. In 1997, she transferred to the Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference where she became the HR director in 1999.

Laurie is a proud mother of three and is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her tenth grandchild, all of which she considers her cherished hobbies.
